Victory Life International Bible Training Centre needed to update their website. The original site was well built but was very old and had become outdated. It wasn’t responsive and it was quite information intensive with lots of pages.

The Brief

The brief was to:

  • simplify the site
  • make it easier to navigate
  • make it responsive on mobile devices
  • target international and local potential students in the 20 something demographic.
  • consider adding a logo or tag line element to the site
  • build strong SEO into the website

Front page targets new prospects with an immediate call to action

The Website

Initially we explored some alternative logo ideas but settled on the original logo reversed out onto a fresh, vibrant colour. This ensured continuity with the rest of the Victory Life branding yet still ensuring the website targeted a younger demographic.

We ran with two vibrant colours through the site which we used to filter through the images and call to action buttons. We kept the entire site light and fun with a lot of energy which is consistent with client’s vision.

In terms of structure we reduced the site down to 9 main pages and 3 simple sections in the top navigation. Most pages make an immediate above the fold call to action so the visitor can enquire straight away. The clients had a wealth of compelling media and testimonial videos which we were able to also integrate into the site.

It was also important to ensure the website ranked for important SEO terms. Through a number of on page and technical features, the site ranks well for important key phrases and receives consistent traffic as a result. Some of the onsite features included targeted headings, semantic words within the text and relevant schema markup. Some of the technical features included an XML sitemap for Google Search Console, relevant 301 redirects and optimised Title and Meta tags (amongst a few other things)
